These little folks are up and walking around well and truly this morning wont be long before they go to their new loving homes.  It is really hard to take their photos, cause they just wont sit still LOL. They are getting plenty of attention from the family and visitors no one can resist a cuddle as they walk past the box.  They are barking and growling loudly now and wrestling one another, really cute.

the winner

Pumpkin festival visit today

well today was a lovely day and a visit to our local pumpkin festival was fun.  There is a small town here called kootingal and its a real community spirited day.  The locals gather and compete to see who can grow the largest and heaviest pumpkin, and boy is there some big ones there, heaven knows what you do with all that pumpkin.  Ive taken some photos of the pumpkins for you to see.

Ive also been at a friends dairy for a week to look after the goats while his brother got married in Queensland,  I had a great time there early starts of 5.30am and 90 goats to milk twice a day and feed the other 100 or so with their grain and hay.  He has a lovely family property in the Hunter Valley with goats and dairy cows.  When he returned you will see he bought home two little surprises, really cute little alpine cross does they are very much like the american type in colour.

My weekend

What a weekend I did a workshop with Glenys Mann a well known textile artist here in Australia, she travels the world teaching and doing conferences.  Ive signed up for the 6 weeks on saturdays and cant wait till next saturday.  We covered dying and rusting papers and fabrics, we placed the good quality paper in to a tannin bath first then into a caustic soda bath and then into an ironsulphate bath the papers are beautiful and very landscape earth orientated.  I will post photos of the group.  One of the girls did a porcelain doll head and arm it looked great , we are making boxes to hold our treasures,  making great assemblage for the walls.  The photos are just shots of some of the papers I did.
